In between trying to write grant proposals, I've been in the editing room trying to work on my movie. Both the grant writing and the editing are longer process than I realized.

Anyway, I wanted to post a couple pictures today since it's been so long since I posted anything.

If you notice on the top right, you can know make tax-deductible donations to the movie. I appreciate all of your support. Thank you for sticking with me on this.

From Small Things (Big Things One Day Come)

I had to cut together a little five-minute edit of what I shot this summer. (No, you're not getting a look at it now. I haven't figured out online compression yet.) There's always a thought of "I'm making a movie," but until I see the footage together I didn't really believe it.

Needless to say, the footage has spurred me on to big things. I've been grant writing and planning a couple fundraisers. In the near future, I'll probably be contacting many of you about donating money (tax-deductible!) for this film.

I'll post some more pictures soon. Thanks for all your support.

Stops along the way....

I'm back in Greensboro for a couple weeks looking at footage and preparing my lesson plans for the school year.

Don't have much to report, but I wanted to take a minute and thank all the people who have given their time so far on this project. It's been incredibly rewarding to meet so many giving and caring people.

Also, quick note in support of my friends, Edward Tyndall and Jason Flynn.

Edward's short "The Bottle Tree" will be screening Sept. 15 at the D.C. Shorts film festival in October. http://www.gannagency.com/dcshorts/screening3.shtml You can still catch his documentary "The Confederate Goliath" on some regional PBS stations. Go Edward.

Jason Flynn's documentary "Only the Dead," about his friend's look at time spent in Iraq as part of the military, will be screening at the Central Florida Film Festival Sept. 2 & Sept. 3.
